Written for and premiered at the Interprovincial Music Camp, Ontario, Canada. This piece is a typical work of the composer in which he has composed original music in the idiom of English folk music instead of compiling a suite of songs written by anonymous writers. The movements depict typical activities of rural England during the Elizabethan period and are so titled.
