Much has been written in both fact and folklore about the importance of gypsy contributions to the world of music . The celebratory and vibrant nature of their cultural heritage and traditions has greatly influenced their creation of melodies,rhythms and harmonies. It is this unique blend of musical elements that has captivated audiences worldwide for centuries and resulted in valuable and immeasurable contributions to our world of music.
In 'Gypsy' I wanted to capture that feeling of celebration; that feeling of pride that was such an important part of the Romani or Gypsy life.
