On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss Saxophone Quartet is a transcription of David Holsinger’s “restful, gentle, and reflective composition based on the 1876 Philip Bliss - Horatio Spafford hymn, ‘It is Well with my Soul’.”
Every member of the quartet has a chance to play the melodic line as it flows smoothly and poignantly from part to part. Stagger breathing to retain uninterrupted continuity.
