This is a commemorative work dedicated to the brave crew of the Confederate "Iron Clad" in its celebrated clash with the Union "Iron Clad", the Monitor. This was a first for armored ships and the battle took place at Hampton Roads, Virginia on March 9, 1862. The battle was a stand off.
