Gerona, pasodoble by Lope, edited by Roy Weger. This very beautiful Spanish march is a classic. This edition conforms closely to the original Spanish publication which has been out of print for many years due to a disastrous fire at the publisher's warehouse in Madrid. Besides using beautiful melodies and counter-melodies and harmonies in his marches, Lope used large and sudden dynamic changes for dramatic effect. Study of the style in interpreting this pasodoble is important. Time 3:30.
