Silver Celebration Overture celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Five States Honor Band, founded in Guymon, Oklahoma in 1977. The composition opens and closes with a rollicking, joyful westernesquedance. The center section is a slow, poignantly lyrical song featuring trumpets, tenor sax, and baritone horns sharing the melodic responsibilities.
