(Dona Nobis Pacem from Mass in B Minor) by J.S. Bach / arranged by Jimmie Reynolds. This Arrangement is for used with a variety of small wind ensembles as well as for full band. The optional trumpet parts should be used with full band only. The bassoons and horns should be used with ensemble or full band as indicated on the score. An example of ensembles which work very well are as follows: Clarinet Quartet(with bass clarinet), Saxophone Quartet, and Brass Quartet. There are many more exotic combinations of instruments which will work and can be used by the director for warm ups and tuning. The piece has been transposed so that the key is more suitable for bands and so that the optional trumpet parts are in a range more playable by younger players. Conductors and players should be urged to listen to the work in its original form, the final section of the great Mass in B Minor by Johann Sebatian Bach.
