Similar in scope and design to Camphouse's well established Tribute, Declarations is an exciting, sonorous and challenging 8 1/2 minute work, conceived primarily as a concert 'opener'. Declarations was commissioned by Dr. Garwood Whaley and the Bishop Ireton High School Symphonic Wind Ensemble (Alexandria, VA), and received its premiere performance on March 30, 1996, in the historic George Washington Masonic National Memorial, in Alexandria.
