Knight, Steve

Steve Knight serves as a band director in the Everman Independent School District in Everman, Texas. He has previously taught in the Electra, Bowie, Lubbock-Cooper, Texas City and Amarillo School Districts. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music Education from Texas Tech University, where he was a student of the late James Sudduth and Keith Bearden. A native of El Paso, he attended Coronado High School, where he was a student of Richard Lambrecht and Dan Black. Mr. Knight’s compositions and arrangements have been performed for the Texas Music Educators Association, International Clarinet Association, Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest and the Texas State Marching Contest. He has been a winner of an ASCAP Standard Award each year since 1999.
