Jeremy Doss was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, June 25, 1976. He is an award-winning composer and a published songwriter, having scored numerous short and independent feature films. Graduating with his bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Arkansas, his master's degree in music composition from the University of Arkansas, he further achieved an advanced certificate in film scoring from UCLA.
His music has appeared in films that have played in festivals all over the world: Canne Film Festival, HBO Comedy Arts Festival, LA Film Festival, Dallas Film Festival, festivals in Egypt, India, France, United States, etc. In 2004, Jeremy won 'Best Short Composition' at the 35th Annual Utah Composers Guild Composition Contest for his orchestral work titled "The American West." Jeremy is also an active composer for school band programs and has been commissioned by bands in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.
A former band director (Shiloh Christian School, Springdale, AR and Washington Jr. High School, Bentonville, AR), Jeremy stays active by teaching private trumpet lessons and master classes. After 7 years in southern California, on July 1, 2011, he and his family relocated back to northwest Arkansas where he continues his composition career in the beautiful surroundings of the Ozarks.
