Festíva

Festíva was premiered at Lamar University’s 2005 Spring Graduation, under the direction of Dr. Scott Weiss, then Lamar’s director of bands, now director of bands at the University of Kansas.

The festive mood of the introductory theme is followed by a stately theme. This builds to a jubilant recap, a skillfully woven combination of both themes.

While a graduation ceremony is an appropriate venue for “Festíva,” any concert, festival or performance will be energized by this exciting work!
