One of the oustanding composers of modern Russia, Bogdan Trotsuk was born in 1931 in the capital of Azerbajan - Baku. Since his green years, he had a wonderful talent for music and that opened the doors of the Moscow Conservatory for him. He entered the class of composition of the legendary aram Khachaturyan, who led the young musician's postgraduate coursea after graduation from the Moscow Conservatory in 1969. Apart from composition, in the Conservatory, he also studied the theory of music in the class of I Sposobin and L. Maazel Since the early 60's Bogdan Trotsuk has been a free lance composer (a very rare case in today's Russia!). He has written music in most versatile genres from symphonies, ballets and chamber music to incidental theatre and cinema music, variety show music and pieces for folk intruments. Many of these compositions are widely performed in Russia and European countries and have won numerous awards. Mr. Trotsuk's compositions are also included in the educational repertoire of music schools and colleges. He has also begun cooperation with two outstanding orchestras of wind instruments - The Presidents and the Main Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
