Sochinski, James

James Sochinski holds a B.M. from the University of Missouri/Columbia, a M.M. in Composition from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, and a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Miami. Over forty of his compositions and arrangements are published by the C.L.Barnhouse Co., Columbia Pictures Publications, and TRN Music Publisher. Dr. Sochinski served as Director of Bands at Virginia Tech for 13 years. He teaches Form and Analysis, Microcomputer Applications in Music, Band Arranging, and Colloquial in the University Honors College.
